Malka Shaw, LCSW
Educational Coordinator

GCC is honored to have Malka Shaw leading our professional development and continuing education programs. Her seminars equip mental health professionals with the knowledge and skills to foster safe spaces, support healing, and strengthen resilience in the face of the unprecedented challenges college communities have faced since 10/7. Through her workshops, participants receive specialized training in emotional first aid, trauma care, identity development, resilience-building, and cultural awareness, ensuring they are prepared to meet the unique needs of those they serve.

In addition to her work with Gesher Campus Care, Malka is a trauma therapist with over 25 years of experience. Licensed in New Jersey, New York, and Florida, she maintains a thriving private practice specializing in trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the intersection of mental health and antisemitism. Malka’s journey as a trauma therapist began with NYANA’s domestic violence program. It continued with the Red Cross and FEMA during 9/11, where she clinically debriefed essential workers. Malka also served as Program Director of a partial hospital program.

As the founder of Kesher Shalom Projects (KSP), Malka created an organization focused on the psychological impact of trauma and antisemitism. Through KSP, she developed the GUARD Protocol and BRIDGE Framework, which offer practical strategies for navigating trauma, fostering resilience, and supporting Jewish communities and allies.

In her role as Educational Coordinator for Gesher Campus Care Malka develops and facilitates continuing education courses for mental health professionals. Her workshops focus on trauma-informed care and resilience strategies, combining practical tools with actionable insights to enhance clinical practice, and combat antisemitism.
